DIASTASIS RECTI weak muscles of the pelvic floor
On November 3, 2019, the How to practice diastasis recti workshop was successfully maintained. The workshop took place at the Yoga Creation studio in Bor. Organizer Željka Zdravković and lecturer Ivana Herceg Budić pointed out the importance of conscientious exercise after childbirth and encouraged women to talk and seek professional support for recovery after childbirth.
At the workshop, we had the opportunity to hear and learn breathing techniques, proper movement and exercises, the benefits of which have a positive effect on the muscles of the pelvic floor, and also affect our posture, relieving pain in the lumbar spine, etc.
Diastasis is not only a matter of aesthetic appearance, it can also lead to health problems, such as back pain, involuntary urination, the appearance of a hernia, but also pain in the pelvis and hips.
Proper exercise before pregnancy and supervised exercise during pregnancy, with an emphasis on strengthening the core muscles, can reduce the risk of diastasis.
